Overview

Turning a routine financial product into a scroll-stopping conversation

Advisory Window, an Auckland-based insurance and mortgage advisory firm, wanted to promote their KiwiSaver advisory services in a space that's usually filled with generic calculator ads and stock-photo optimism. The brief was to build a full social media campaign — concept, visual direction, and copy — that felt credible, personal, and genuinely useful, centred around their Director and Financial Advisor, Nish Herath.

KiwiSaver content all looks and sounds the same

Most KiwiSaver marketing leans on vague reassurance or fear without substance — "check your fund," "you might be missing out" — with no real hook to make someone stop scrolling. For a licensed financial advice provider, the challenge was sharper still: create content that's attention-grabbing and specific, while staying accurate and compliant with financial advice disclosure standards.

A 10-concept campaign built on real decision points, not vague warnings

I developed ten distinct campaign concepts, each built around a specific, relatable trigger — a fee comparison people can actually picture, a "same start, different finish" fund comparison, a life-event checklist, a retirement countdown, and a recurring Q&A format to build ongoing trust in Nish as the face of the brand. For three of the concepts, I designed full square social ad mockups in Advisory Window's own navy-and-orange branding, then wrote matching captions, on-image copy, and CTAs for every concept in the series — with compliance flags built in wherever a post made a specific numerical claim.
